Welcome to Eugene Metro FC

Eugene Metro Futbol Club is a top-quality soccer program for competitive youth players in the Eugene-Springfield area. All training is provided by professional USSF-certified coaches.

We offer programs for kids of all ages. Our youth and high-school teams play in the Oregon Premier League against the best teams in the state, and sometimes travel further to play in showcase tournaments and regional championships. We also offer introductory programs for younger kids, starting at six years old for Little Metros and four years old for Mini Metros.

2012 Spring Break Camp

The popular spring break camp is open for registration. This year the camp is back in Springfield at Main/32nd. Director of Coaching Jurgen Ruckaberle assembled a great group of EMFC coaches to work in the camp. As every year, this camp is a major fundraiser for the EMFC scholarship program. The camp runs from 9-12am for 7-12 year olds and from 1-4pm for 13 to 17 year olds on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of spring break. Each participant receives a t-shirt. 3 EMFC Players Selected for 98 Boys ODP Pool

EMFC congratulates three 98 boys for their selections on the 98 Boys ODP State pool. Akira Itai, Jose Benavides, and Julian Hirsh, all from EMFC 97 Boca Juniors Blue, were selected this past weekend in the ODP state pool tournament at Jeld-Wen field. Congratulation also to the ODP coaches Joe Beeler and Gabriel Hernandez. All the best on the ODP state pool.

U9-18 Winter Skills and Speed Indoor Camp December 27-29 at Kick City

EMFC was extremely pleased with the turnout of the Winter Skills and Speed Camp from December 27-29, 2011 at Kick City. We had over 40 players in the camp and the coaches were impressed with the skill level.  

EMFC TOP Soccer program starts again at Kick City

EMFC is running its popular TOP soccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer for children with disabilities) again this winter. EMFC staff coach Jeremy Flores will run the popular program this winter at Kick City. If you want to learn more about TOP Soccer please click here. EMFC Scarves for Scholarships

EMFC is selling soccer scarves for $20 each to benefit the club's scholarship program. All profits from scarf sales will go to directly to our scholarship fund. Scholarships benefit players' who face financial limitations in their quest to participate in club soccer. EMFC supports players and families in need. Order one of those great scarves and get a wonderful present and support soccer players in EMFC.

Little Metros Winter Indoor Academy Registration is open

EMFC is beginning its Little Metro Winter Indoor Academy on Monday November 28, 2011. We will have two sessions a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please note the change in location. Starting NEXT Monday, December 5th, 3rd/4th grade boys and girls will have their practice sessions at the Opportunity Center on Willamette St. from 6:00-7:00 (Mondays and Wednesdays).
 The 1st/2nd grade boys and girls will continue at Oak Hill from 5:00-6:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Winter U11-14 Indoor Footskills and Futsal Registration is closed

EMFC begins its Winter Indoor Footskills and Futsal practices in early December. Please click here for details. The U11 and U12 sessions are going to be on Friday evening at Oak Hill school. The opening Friday session for U11-12 has been moved to Saturday, December 3, from 9-11am at Oak Hill because of the Duck football game. The U13 and U14 sessions are going to be on Saturday at the Ridgeline Montessori school next to the South Eugene Post office. The sessions will focus on developing footskills, passing and receiving, dribbling, and juggling in the first hour, while the second hour will organize futsal games. Mini Metros sessions for ages 4 & 5

The first EMFC Mini Metro fall program came to an end last Friday and we were very happy with the participation. Because of the great response we will continue to offer a winter indoor program for our Mini Metros. EMFC will have details very soon. 28 EMFC players now on Olympic Development Program teams

The Oregon Olympic Development Program (ODP) just ran its tryouts for the middle-school-aged 97 and 98 groups. Many of our EMFC players participated in the regional ODP Willamette team, and several of them made the Oregon state team. EMFC has currently 28 players on Oregon's Olympic Development Program teams — you can see the full list here (PDF). Congratulations to all those players. We wish you all the best in your upcoming competitions with their state teams.
