Background

Zach grew up in North Carolina and played for the Highland Football Club out of Asheville, NC for most of his youth career. He played for A.C. Reynolds HS as a 4 year varsity starter and was their team captain. He went on to play for the University of North Carolina Club soccer team for 4 years and was a team captain for the 2005-2006 season.  During his time at UNC, Zach worked in a number of UNC sponsored soccer camps and served as a ‘practice player’ with the UNC Varsity Women’s team for two seasons under head coach Anson Dorrance.

 

Zach moved to Eugene in 2008 and joined the EMFC staff in the winter of 2009.  He served as the head coach of the U12 boys Juventus squad for the 2010-2011 season.  Zach was the boys JV soccer coach at Churchill High School in the fall of 2010, and will be taking over the boys Varsity program at Sheldon High School in the Fall of 2011.
