Background

Phil is a Eugene native and graduate of North Eugene High School. He has been coaching at the high school and club level since the 1998 season. Phil was the JV and Assistant Varsity Coach at North Eugene High School from 1998-1999. From 2000-2002, Phil was the Men's Varsity Assistant Head Coach at Sheldon High School with Mac Wilson. During this time, their teams won a state championship and two Midwestern League titles. From 2003-2006 , Phil was the Women's Varsity Head Coach at Sheldon High School. His teams won two consecutive state titles(2003-2004) and went undefeated over those two years. Phil was honored to be named OSAA State Coach of the Year both of those years. Phil has also been involved with club coaching as an Assistant, a Trainer, and a Head Coach from 1998 - 2005 with Oregon United Soccer Academy.

During the 2006/2007 season, Phil was the Trainer for the EMFC U11 girls Magic team and the Head Coach for the EMFC U17 boys Fury team.
