Background

Jessica Cardwell is a graduate of Thurston HS and played soccer for the Colts from 2000-2003. She was an All-MWL goalkeeper for 3 years and was a Varsity co-captain for the 2002 & 2003 seasons. She played club soccer for FC Willamette, Lake Oswego and OUSA.

In 2004, Jessica went to George Fox University where she was the four year starting goalkeeper for the Bruins. She earned four All-Northwest Conference honors, was co-captain for her Junior and Senior seasons and set the George Fox school record for saves, save percentage and shut-outs. In 2008, she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education.

Currently, she is the Women's head coach at Thurston HS and is an elementary teacher. In her first year leading the colts, they had a 10-1-2 record, a Midwestern League title and made it to the 5A State Tournament Semi-Finals.
