Background

Coach Gabriel Hernandez is a veteran soccer coach with 9 years of club and high school coaching experience. Coach Hernandez is currently the Eugene Metro Futbol Club U13 97 River Plate Boys Head Coach, and the U18 92 Dynamo boys Head Coach. He was also an Assistant Coach for the EMFC U21 Select Team in the 2009 Friendly matches with Club America and Bayern Munich. Coach Hernandez is entering his fifth year as the Marist Boys Varsity Assistant Coach.

As a local high school player, Gabriel was a four year letterman at North Eugene where he earned 1st Team All League Honors as a senior. He then moved on to play professionally for two years with Club Deportivo Motagua (C.D. Montagua) in the Honduran 1st Division.
